Robert Johnson – Head Varsity Coach

This is Coach Johnson’s first year as varsity coach for the Monte Vista Softball program, helping guide the varsity team as Assistant Varsity Coach last year.  He brings his many years of experience coaching fastpitch teams in the area such as KG Hitters, Valley Stompers, and Universal Fastpitch, and is very excited to be leading the Monte Vista High School softball program and be part of the Mustang community!

Katelynn Beamish – Head Junior Varsity Coach

Coach Beamish played softball for 12 years, ending her career as a player for Folsom High School’s varsity team. She played the position of catcher, right field, and third base. Her coaching experience includes competitive youth softball as well as assisting in a variety of camps throughout her career.

Coach Beamish attended San Diego State University and earned a degree in English as well as earning a Single Subject Teaching Credential. At San Diego State Coach Beamish worked on the intramural staff as a referee of softball, soccer, and kickball! She was an avid attendee of sports events and wholeheartedly intertwined herself within the culture of the university.

This year is Ms. Beamish’s first year at Monte Vista as an English 10 and 11 teacher. She comes from a long line of teacher/coaches and is more than excited to extend what she has learned as a teacher, a coach, and a facilitator of community building with the Monte Vista Softball Program.
